Why custom domains are coming soon

Custom domains matter. They also need to be implemented carefully.

The first url4all release uses hosted domains so sharing works immediately:

• go.url4all.com for short links
• my.url4all.com for public profiles

Why not ship domains immediately?

Custom domains require more than a text field. The product needs reliable DNS verification, certificate provisioning, ownership checks, routing behavior, and clear recovery paths when a domain changes hands.

What this means now

Use url4all-hosted links and profiles for launch. They are stable, shareable, and aligned with the first release:

That keeps v1 honest while leaving room to add branded domains properly later.
